All scullers would wish to see where they are going. Just to miss the bridges, boats or other scullers. Some rivers have commercial tour boats traveling up and down them and stop in the most inconvenient places. You really need to look to see if they have stopped.
Some rivers get quite thin at points and have many bends. Again the need to see and miss boats coming the other way is paramount, especially other scullers.

There was a need to develop a cheap device - a mirror that is very light, adaptable and safe.

This mirror weight is 11 grams, it has a thin cat whisker wire for adjustment and has a 50 x 50mm acrylic mirror. The Mirror clamps onto the side brim of a cap as shown.

These mirrors are actually not distracting at all and you just glance at it every once in a while like you would a rear view mirror in a car.
